Total interest over the loan
$0
Monthly payment: $0
Total paid: $0
That's of the loan amount paid in interest.
How this is calculated
Uses the standard fixed-rate amortization formula M = P·r(1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n − 1) to calculate the monthly payment and full payment-by-payment schedule. Total interest is the sum of the interest portion of every payment across the full term.
Frequently asked questions
- How can I reduce total interest paid?
- A larger down payment, shorter term, lower rate (via refinancing or improving credit), or extra principal payments all reduce total interest — see the Loans & Debt cluster’s Extra Payment Calculator for that last option.
